Create a wonderful accessory for your wardrobe while learning the basics about using wire to create detached petals. We will work on a pansy and leaf that will be finished to fit into the sterling silver vase pin that is included in the kit. The center of the pansy is a genuine yellow jade bead. Adequate supplies are provided for a purple, pink or wine pansy. The pansies are so quick and easy you will want to complete all three. The stitches used in the project include blanket stitch, long and short, stem, and whipped stem. The kit includes fabric, Anchor embroidery cottons, yellow jade, finishing materials, and the lovely sterling silver vase pin.
Finished size of design area: A one-inch diameter flower that is finished to fit in a sterling silver vase pin.
Group projects are available to groups of ten or more. Detailed instructions are included in the kit. The small projects are ideal for a group that is interested in expeimenting with raised embroidery. Each project is beginner level and emphasizes one of the techniques used for raised embroidery. The projects are quick and fun. The kit includes everything needed to complete the project.
